Wentworth Historical Tour & Monthly Neighborhood Social

Join your neighbors and learn about the history of Wentworth Place, led by Charlotte historian Tom Hanchett, commemorating the 70th anniversary of our neighborhood’s beginning. Wentworth Place was featured in the Sunday edition of the Charlotte Observer on September 20, 1953 as the FIRST ever Parade of Homes in Charlotte.

After the tour, join more of your neighbors at Brawley’s for some cold beverages and kick off the weekend.

Time: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (please meet at Brawley’s Beverages by 5:45 pm)
Description of Tour: Start at Brawley’s Beverage, then proceed to the Billy Graham monument (on Park Road), walk down Montford to Wentworth and take a historical walk of Wentworth Place with a discussion in front of each house. Then head back to Brawley’s (via Halstead Drive).
